Dr. David Ireland is founder and senior pastor of Christ Church, a northern New Jersey-based, multi-site church comprising 6,000 members representing 40 nationalities.  Diversity consultant to the National Basketball Association, Dr. Ireland leads chapel services for the New York Giants, New York Jets, and at the U.S. Pentagon. Author of a dozen books, Ireland has appeared on The Dr. Phil Show, The CBS Evening News, and The 700 Club. Through his community development corporation, he offers a home for victims of domestic violence, a youth leadership institute, and a statewide abstinence-based program offered in partnership with New Jersey schools. 

The Rev. Ireland holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering (Fairleigh Dickinson University), a graduate degree in civil engineering (Stevens Institute of Technology), a master’s degree in theology (Alliance Theological Seminary). He has an earned doctorate degree in organizational leadership (Regent University) and has completed post-doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Ireland is an appointed member of the Governor's Advisory Commission on Faith-Based Initiatives.  He also serves on the boards of Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary, Advisory Board of the National Basketball Retired Players Association, Advisory Board to New Jersey Governor’s Safe Streets and Neighborhoods Oversight Committee, and is an adjunct professor at Drew University.  He and his wife, Marlinda, have been married since 1984 and have two daughters.
